The winners’ names are: Front row: Mason Rappel (9 yr old); Brody Graetz (10 yr old); Zach Miller (11 yr old) and Brayden Graetz (12 yr old) Back row: Kelsi Beadles (10 yr old); Elsa Brunner (11 yr old); Jasmine Wilson (12 yr old) and Angela Miller (14 yr old) Winners will advance to the district competition on February 11, 2018 at St. Croix Central High School in Hammond, WI

 

The local chapter of the Knights of Columbus held their annual Free Throw Contest at the St. Bridget gym on Friday, January 27, 2017. The winners of the annual Free Throw Contest on Friday, January 27, 2017 are (back, l to r) Ambrea Kjos, Angela Miller and Jasmine Wilson. In the front row is William Brantner. Since 1972, councils have sponsored the Knights of Columbus International Free Throw Championship for boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 14 (starting in the fraternal year 2013-2014) The championship is set up to have the contestants compete within their own gender and age group. All competition starts at the local level. Winners move on to the district, regional, and state or provincial levels. From there, some make it to the international level for championship competition in their group.
